About Posterlounge

Posterlounge was founded by Falk Teßmer and Florian Teßmer.

Posterlounge is fast becoming a popular site for selling artwork. based in Germany, it concentrates on several types of art print, and also has a unique selling angle of adverting artworks on online selling venues, such as Google, Amazon and eBay.

The site works very well, with very cooperative artist support, and traffic that provides regular sales. One of the downsides to the site is they tend to be too over critical of the curating of the artworks. Which can be cut without notice after the work of uploading has been done.

Posterlounge has a very efficient uploading system, that even takes data calls from the exif tags. The not so effective parts are the curating can take days, and the tagging system is very ineffective with many obvious works missing. All in all, a good site to be on.

Some info on Posterlounge

Posterlounge is invite only, as well as being a curated site. You can email them to see if they have interest in your work. The curating part is very strict in many cases. Rejection reasons seem to be very copy/paste if not actually listed in the rejection email.

Their payment system is good and via PayPal. They also have a very good sales interface to review the purchases of artworks.

Artists can order own work at a discount, and have multiple accounts. Artist support is good, and the site is easy to access. Numbers seem low from visitors.

Posterlounge allows multiple profiles for different art types, but is brutal in pruning the art list to their liking.

Posterlounge is a German based POD site, with a UK Url, that sells several types of art print formats. The site works well and sales can be good. The issue is that for art puritans, they do allow some amount of customer manipulation of artworks.
